If English is not your native language and you’d like to study a degree abroad in English, you’ll have to take an International English Language Test (IELTS) test. However, to acheive a good band score in IELTS, one must prepare himself before taking the test. • PRACTICE UNDER TIME PRESSURE- Test youself in a 2 hours and 45 minutes time frame just like the exam day. This will help you to analyse and take the pressure. The more you practice under pressure, the more confident you will become and manage your time accordingly.

• BUY BOOKS FOR IELTS PREPARATION- To score good you need to practice, practice and practice. To do so, you need to buy good books for IELTS preparation. Some of the reliable books for IELTS preparation are:

• FOCUS ON IMPROVING VOCABULARY- Vocabulary sharpens your communication and open your mind to do thinking. A good grip on vocabualry can increase your chances of scoring hing band. 

• PRACTICE IN FRONT OF A MIRROR: Listen to news bulletins and songs in English to listen to the pronunciation of words. You can also learn new words and expressions this way. The more you listen, the more you learn! Try copying what you hear in front of the mirror to practise your pronunciation and learn which words in a sentence are stressed.

• PRACTICE READING IN ENGLISH- Try reading some of the great books mentioned below. These books will help to improve your reading speed and pick up lots of passive vocabulory.
